The libraries the profession learns from, and what they will tell you about their own material.

The finding. Twenty-two of thirty-four say nothing whatsoever about the copyright of the screenshots they host — thousands of images of other people’s commercial interfaces, with no stated basis. Eight publish no capture date, which makes them undated claims about how software looked on an unstated day. Eight have stopped adding, and several of those still rank.

What this cannot tell you.

A screenshot is a claim about a particular day. Where a library dates its captures this collection says so; where it does not, that silence is the row’s most important field.
Nothing behind a paywall was verified. Six libraries are paid and carry their own public claims with everything else empty. A register containing only what was free to browse would be a register about pricing.
Counts are the site’s own figure where one is published, flagged as such, and empty where none is. None is estimated from scrolling.
Fourteen dormant or archived libraries are kept deliberately, marked by status. A library abandoned in 2021 showing an app redesigned twice since is a historical document, and useful as one — but it should not be met as current.
Five carry affiliate links, and say so on the row. Every competing list of these libraries carries them undisclosed.
Non-English libraries are under-represented here. That is a gap in this survey, not a fact about the world.
Eleven of the original forty-five were removed on 2026-08-27. Seven cited a domain that does not resolve — one of them formdesign.inspo, and .inspo is not a TLD, so that row was invented outright. One returns 404. Two were gone in a way no status code can see: UI Garage now serves a farewell notice instead of a library, and UXLibrary.com is a parked domain listed for sale, so the link sent readers to a squatter. One, Laws of UX, is a reference work rather than a referatory — its own row said so and it was listed anyway.
A 200 is not evidence that a library still exists. Two of the removed rows answered 200, from a goodbye page and a domain-sale listing. The thirty-four that remain resolve and are not parked; whether each still holds what it claims to hold has not been checked.
